[Saturday: 6.5 miles, some walking; today 3.5 miles, also some walking]
Saturday evening we had some people come and take away most of our beekeeping equipment and the three working beehives. It turned out to be a pretty smooth operation. I used drywall screws and some strips of 3/8th inch plywood to screw together all of the hive boxes (“supers”) and bases so that they wouldn’t fall apart in transit. The fellow had a trailer and we were able to lift the hives and put them on the trailer. We have seen pictures of the bees set up in their yard and they are flying and doing their thing.
This evening I did my run after work. The days are starting to get longer so it is no longer too dark after work to go. Here is a shot of the setting sun in the fence-row cedars along our road when I was setting out. It was just getting dark by the time I returned.
