[Sunday: 3.5 miles]
Saturday was the annual hamfest in Jackson, MS. I loaded up some stuff in the car to sell and drove down there Saturday morning, arriving about 8:30. It was a good event. I sold most of the stuff I took down there. And I didn’t buy much. So I ended up with some cash in pocket! It was about 5 hours of driving.
Sunday a man came and looked at my son’s car for sale. I had advertised it on Facebook. This was the first/only person who was interested enough to come and actually look at it. We made a verbal agreement. The title was in Tuscaloosa at my son’s apartment, so Sunday evening I drove to Tuscaloosa and back to transport the title. That was about 3 hours of driving.
Monday, son found another car he was interested in. It was a good deal. The man buying his car came over with the money and took away the car. Then I took the afternoon off and we drove up to Huntsville, AL to check out this newer car. Son ended up buying it and we convoyed back to his place and I drove on home. That was about 7 hours of driving, something like that.
I’ve been driving a lot!
Things worked out so smoothly with selling/buying for #1 son, I’m very happy that all came together and I hope his new car will do the job for him.
And the hamfest went well too.
