[today’s run: 3.4 miles; yesterday 6 miles]
I actually haven’t run yet today but it is such a beautiful day outside that it seems like the thing to do. After my lunch settles a bit I think I will go.
Last Sunday we drove to Tupelo to pick up a laptop computer. I’ve decided I need one for the radio station project. Well, I got this one, an old Dell, and I spent a bit more to get some memory to put in it. It actually runs just fine. I don’t think it really had many miles put on it.
But I am coming to the conclusion that it really isn’t the one I need. It won’t run the Rivendell radio station software because it has a processor that is 32-bit and not 64-bit. I thought about swapping with my ham radio laptop, but this old Dell doesn’t have a serial port and I usually need that for one thing or another. So I am back to looking for a more modern laptop. Generally, I need something with a “Core duo” processor or newer. Those would be 64-bit.

I talked to the old-truck repair guy on the phone last week (did I post this before?). He says the engine’s two back cylinders have an oil problem. The engine is a 4.9L inline 6, just fyi. He was going to try a few things. If the oil is coming down from the valves, we may need some work done on the cylinder head. If it’s coming through the rings, that’s worse. He was talking about ways to determine which. So no resolution on the old truck yet.

I did go for a run and it was very nice.
Then we went to the local theater to see War Room, the latest movie from the Kendrick brothers, and that was good too. We came in right at the beginning of the film and had to sit in the very front row. The place was packed.
I think I still like Flywheel the best.
