[today’s run: 10k]
I was going to run with the running club today, and my wife was going to go watch our son run in a local 10k race. That sounded kind of dumb for me to go one way and her another, so I signed up for the 10k also.
I haven’t run in a real race since the Mt Desert Island Marathon two years ago. At least at today’s race I was able to keep running for the whole distance. I did finish, eventually. You’ll see by this picture of the results list that it was a small race, and I was in the caboose position. But it was on a college campus, so weighted toward the younger age groups… or something. [Looking over this list, I’m only missing a couple of the runners, it looks like I was likely the oldest participant.]
And the second picture shows the top finishers. #1 son came in 10th in his first 10k race. That was pretty fantastic.
