Netflix

[Today’s run: 3.4 miles]

We have a television these days.  It’s a flat screen, about 36 inches, maybe smaller.  It’s in the “solarium” room.  We have my son’s sofa back there too, and the chest freezer, a file cabinet, and some other stuff.

Anyway, we get 2 local stations over the air, both have three digital “channels”, so we get a total of 6 programs over the air.  It is nice to have local news and weather.

Otherwise we use the TV mostly for watching Netflix shows.

We went through all of the Hercule Poirot shows, most of Sherlock Holmes, Inspector Morse, Lewis, and others I can’t remember.  Right now we are alternating between a new season of Blue Bloods and an old BBC series called Midsomer Murders.

We’ve noticed that Netflix will periodically get new stuff.  But old stuff also disappears.  We watched some Jesse Stone movies a while back and now they are gone.

And Netflix also has this annoying habit of having lots of trash stuff and very little good stuff.  If you want high school vampire cheerleaders they probably have it.  But if you want anything with Tom Hanks, probably not.  They seem to have just enough to keep us paying but not enough to be happy about it.
