[Yesterday run: 3.4 miles]
Yesterday was an eventful day.
We have been accumulating a lot of chicken eggs in the refrigerator. The chickens lay many more in the summer than in the winter. With 8 hens, we 6-7 eggs a day. So we have about 6 dozen in the fridge right now. On Sunday I put a sign up on the mailbox “EGGS” is all it says. Today the newspaper delivery guy pulled into the driveway and I sold him a dozen eggs for $2.
And I will be needing that money. We’ve been in need of another vehicle since my daughter’s car died. I was watching the government auction sites and I bid on a nice little toyota pickup truck in Lincoln, Nebraska. I won. So now I need to pay for it and get it picked up. I think my parents in Des Moines are willing to go and get it. (Even at 52, I frequently call on my parents for advice and help.)
And the newspaper delivery guy also brought the newspaper which had a front page below-the-fold picture and article from the interview I did last week about Classic Book Radio. The picture is not what you would call flattering, but it works. The article is very positive and encouraging.
So lots of good stuff happened yesterday.
