4 County Electric Power Association is our local power company. It actually covers parts of 5 or 6 counties, but they still call it 4 county. With a ‘4’ not ‘four’.
Every year they have a directors election and an open house. I went to it a few years ago but had not made it back until today.
My wife and I went. It was at the local community college campus. They had a health fair, drew blood for cholesterol testing and checked our BP and blood sugar. They also had hearing and eye testing and a chiropractor thing.
They were giving away door prizes and they had a lunch. It was not an amazing lunch, but it was “free” food. And they had a lot of their regular employees helping direct people and just being helpful. It was very pleasant.
At the end of the meeting they were going to draw for the main prize, a used pickup truck.
But, we were there about an hour and we decided not to wait for the meeting.
It was very nice.
