Musical Trucks

[Today’s run: Limerock Road + : 5 miles]

As you may recall from older posts, I had a white 1985 Ford F-150 that I bought at an auction in late 2009.  I spent too much money on it, getting it going, including a new engine.  It runs pretty good.

OldTruckMy daughter was in need of a vehicle and we sent her back to Colorado in the old Ford a couple of weeks ago.  Her Accord had died, and she had bought a 1979 Toyota pickup which seemed to be mostly OK.  But soon it was apparent that it had some electrical problems.  It seems to run just fine if the battery is charged.

Meantime, I bought a ’97 Toyota Tacoma in an on-line auction. We both drove the F-150 to Iowa and I came back with the Tacoma while she went on to Colorado. I’ve since put some new rear shocks on the Tacoma and it is driving pretty good now.

So… the ’79 Toyota is out in Colorado and not running, up for sale. I wish I had it nearby and could work on it a bit. If it were, I think I would sell the Tacoma and go with the ’79. But I don’t think that is likely to happen.
