[Today’s run: maybe a mile]
I’m in Windsor, Colorado today and will be hanging out in this part of the country for about a week. My wife (with dog/rabbit/cats/chickens) is holding down the fort in her inimitable way.
I’m at our daughter’s place. They have a dog here too, a more conventional black-lab-type. I first met him about 5 years ago when we lived in Ft. Collins. My daughter and her roommate brought him to our house and he ripped around the place like a young pup will.
He still remembers me, I think. When I was here in August we went on a run or walk almost every day. Today we ran again. I made it about three blocks at his pace and then I had to seriously scale back. Altitude, fat, no-training; I’m not up to what he wants to do. I put us down for a mile. It may not have been that far.
Besides doing that, I’ve mostly just been hanging around the house and working on radio station web stuff. And I’ve done a little bit of work for the office.
I think we may go to a movie tonight. I have today and tomorrow for “vacation”. Monday is a holiday but I will be working at least a little of that. Tuesday through Friday are back to the normal thing and home again.
