Deficient in my blogging

[Today’s run: none  Yesterday: 8 miles]

I apologize, I’ve been slacking on the blog thing recently.  I had done pretty well with it, being steady, because I tied my blog to the days I ran.  That works ok when I’m running regularly.

I actually have been running 3-4 days a week, but not as much or as regimented as I was before our marathon in October.

Recently I have been spending a lot of time on the radio station project.  I’ve downloaded 600+ items and I have to go through each one and trim it up a bit and try to get them organized.

So it’s not like I’ve been watching Gilligan’s Island reruns or something…  I’m still trying to catch up from the lost hours of my life of actually doing that.

Another thing we lost:  We woke up on Thursday this week with a headless chicken in the nesting box.  It looked like a raccoon or possum just stuck a paw in the lid and helped himself.  So out went the trap that night and we caught a possum to blame it on.  And we put a bungee cord on the lid of the nesting box to prevent future occurrences.  Living in the country is all idyllic and peaceful, unless you are at the bottom of the food chain.

I took the dead chicken down the road to a place by the railroad tracks.  Next day I took the dead possum down to the same place.  The chicken was gone.  So, I’m probably feeding a coyote or hyena or something.  Maybe if he would develop a taste for possum he could save me a lot of trouble.
