[Today’s run: rest day]
The field at the end of our street holds horses.
But over the last few days they have knocked down part of the fence and have taken to wandering around the neighborhood. This afternoon my wife and I saw all nine go through our backyard. We were able to steer them back toward the pasture and six went through the hole in the fence.
The other three were much more wiley. They ended up in a field north of here. A man in a pickup truck stopped, and he then started working on patching the fence.
Later some other people came, turned out to be the horse-owners. They were rounding up the last three when we left to go into town.
