Television Developments

[Today’s run: Watson road]

We traveled to Hattiesburg, MS for the Steam Whistle 12K, spending the night at the Super 8 last Friday.

At home we have recently  been watching the Inspector Lewis series on NetFlix on my wife’s laptop.

When we got to the motel I channel surfed for awhile but could not find anything interesting.  We ended up watching another episode of Inspector Lewis on the laptop.  We didn’t have the external speakers, so it was a less enjoyable experience than what we usually have.

Ok, the reason I am posting about this event:  That television had all sorts of input ports on it including an analog VGA port.  If I had thought to bring a VGA cable we could have watched Lewis on the bigger screen.  And maybe I could have found a way to put the audio through that TV also.  That would have been really nice.

I don’t keep up with TV technology.  I don’t have a modern television of any kind and just don’t know much about it.  So I had not given it any thought.  Next time we go on a trip I’m going to investigate a bit and see what outputs her laptop has and how we can plug in.
