Many of you know #1 Son is in Grad School.  He is working towards his Masters in Journalism.

Part of his degree work was to be working the polls.

Not working the polls like surveying people as they left, he was to follow social media posts!  He was watching Twitter, FB and IG.

There were certain #hashtags that he and other people were to be watching.  They would gather the data from those posts and send them along to the place collating all the information.

A lot of this was technical and over my head.

Last night, I was chatting with #1 Son and I was given strict orders.  Under NO circumstances was I to post ANY pics of my pudgy, necktie wearing pooch, Paxton on social media using any of those hashtags.

I took this as a challenge.

I obliged.

I Tweeted then I posted on FB and IG.

The Tweet read:  Paxton is confused. He wanted to vote but he didn’t have ID. Poor Paxton. #mydogwearsneckties #votingproblems #triedtovote #pudgypooch

 

Later this afternoon, #1 Son called me back.

I TOLD you NOT to post about Paxton!

“Oh!” *I said sweetly* “Did you see Paxton’s pic?”

“Yes!  So did everybody else in the department!  I was working and I heard all these people saying, ‘Look at the dog!  He’s wearing a necktie! He’s too cute!!!'”

I was laughing too hard at this point.

“What did you do?” I asked.

“What could I do!?” he answered. “I shook my head and said, ‘That’s my mom’s dog.'”

Hahaha!!!  I love being a mom!
