Hey, Aiden!

A little birdie told me you will be coming home by the end of the weekend!!! You have totally crushed this surgery and recovery stuff, buddy!!! BOOM!

While you’ve been busy being all awesome and everything, I’ve grabbed us a few miles here and there. Today we ran 25 miles. I have stories to tell you about this run!

We started at 2:00am. The moon was shining and it was a super pretty morning. We wore our new shoes. They looked so pretty! By 1.5 mile, our right foot said they didn’t like the new shoes. The left foot loved them but the right foot did not. We tried different socks and all sorts of different tricks but after 8 miles, we had to change into some old shoes. We wore our pretty purple shoes! 🙂

Our neighbor bush-hogged the fields yesterday. I don’t think he did a thorough job closing the gates because about 3:30am, we met a cow! The cow was not in the field! Hmmm…I couldn’t find the break in the fence and the cow wasn’t spilling the beans so I talked to the cow for a while until it got tired of this strange lady talking to it and ran away. LOL!!!

We were up on Robinson Rd when our headlamp decided to poop out. Rats! We were running around the corner when we tripped over something. We could hear rustling in the grass so of course we were afraid of messing with a snake, but nope! We had tripped over an armadillo! Hahaha!!! I think(?) we sent that thing spinning. That’s him in the bottom left pic. The cow is the middle pic.

The moon was nice and bright. There were a few clouds around it but it was super pretty.

We watched the sun come up. We listened to the birds wake up and welcome in the new day. We had lots of fun, buddy!!!

Tomorrow? 13 miles. Whee?
