So, I’d never yoga-ed a day in my life. To be honest, I was kind of proud of the fact that I’d never done any yoga.
A lot of my runner friends were rabid about their yoga. They would expound on the benefits of it and how it helped them and how much better they felt.
I was a skeptic.
I wasn’t sold.
Remember me telling you about my new coach? Well, guess what? He put yoga on my training schedule for Friday mornings.
I know, right!?!
*sigh*
It looked like I was going to have to swallow my pride and give yoga a try.
They always say, “Trust your coach.” I needed to trust my coach and do as he said.
All week, I’ve been counting down the days to this morning. Today was THE day I had to turn myself into a knot while attempting this yoga business.
Now, my coach had put a youtube video link on my training plan so all I had to do was click on the link and follow the video. Easy. Right?
I was dying of curiosity last night to I kind of peeked ahead and watched part of the video. It didn’t seem all THAT bad. I went to bed last night relieved.
This morning, I fiddled around. I was trying to delay the inevitable. Finally, I decided that it was time. I set my laptop on the floor so I could see/watch what the yogi guy wanted me to do and gave it my best shot.
When I set my laptop on the floor, Paxton was snoozing. I kid you not, that dog was snoring! What is it about when you sit on the floor the animals wake up and decide they must come to your immediate aid?
Well, the yoga went….okay. Paxton decided I needed help. Lots of help. That Paxton, he’s a helper!
We got it done and I’m still alive and not all tangled up so I guess today was a success?
