Too Much NyQuil?

No.  I didn’t guzzle down a bottle of NyQuil.  Let’s just make that clear from the get go.  I’ve had a total of two doses using the little measuring cup at the recommend amount throughout this entire awful cold.

Now that we have that out of the way…

I had the strangest dream last night and it HAS to be related to NyQuil.  There’s no other reasonable explanation to a dream this weird.  See:

I had a dream that MFH (My Favorite Husband) bought me an Owl.  Mr. “I don’t like animals in the house” bought me an Owl to be kept In. The. House.  That, in and of itself it beyond explaining!

MFH and I (in the dream) were at a flea market type of pet store/nature trail thingy.  Hard to explain but that is where we were.  We had been enjoying all the different animals.  There were Owls, Fox, Chipmunks…all sorts of wildlife.  No cute puppies or kittens.  Just wildlife.

The wild life were housed in felt bags with drawstrings.  If you wanted to view a Fox, the person working there would select the felt bag holding the Fox and take the Fox out.  You could pet the Fox.  You could hold the Fox!  When were were done, the person would put the Fox back in the Felt bag.

This is how it was for every animal there.  Including the Owls.

I was intrigued by the Owls.  They had all different sorts of Owls in felt bags but one particular Owl I really, really liked. It was friendly!  I told MFH that it was nice and maybe someday we could get an Owl.

Remember, this is a dream!

We went toward the check out and there were all of these felt bags handing on a display.  They had tags telling you which animals were in the bags.  There was that Owl I had liked!

MFH and I opened the felt bag but all that was in it was a piece of something that looked like Amber.  We were puzzled.  We asked the cashier about the Amber.  We were told that it was a dehydrated Owl.  We had to take the Amber home, add the required amount of water and it would turn into the Owl.

Remember, this is a dream!

Well, I thought that was pretty cool!  It reminded me of those Sea Monkeys.  Remember those?

I always wanted some of those!  Dehydrated brine shrimp or something.  Well, this was the dehydrated Owl version of Sea Monkeys.

When I wasn’t looking, MFH bought me one of those dehydrated Owls.  The kind that I had liked in the felt bag.  I was super excited!  We brought it home and added water.  Sure enough!  It turned into an Owl!!!

Soon, we had a large brown owl flying all over the house.

The Owl got hungry.  One of the promises you made when you purchased your dehydrated Owl was that you would keep it inside.  Always.  That meant a trip to the pet store for Owl food.  The people with the felt bags recommended frozen mice, so we bought a bunch or frozen mice to feed our dehydrated brown Owl.

The dehydrated brown Owl really liked the frozen mice and was happy but like every creature on the planet, well, it pooped all over the house.  That wasn’t so great.  I was cleaning up after my dehydrated brown owl…a lot!

I don’t know how many of you know about the digestive system of Owls?  They deposit “pellets” after eating.  Basically anything that the Owl cannot digest, they bring back up and leave it behind.  This is usually the skeletal system of their dinner.

My dehydrated brown Owl was getting to be a pain.  I couldn’t let it out and I was cleaning up after it like crazy!  I’ve never been so happy to wake up from a dream in all my life!  Hahaha!!!

That is my weird dream from last night.  Tonight?  NO NyQuil.
