Today’s Run:  7 miles

My niece is visiting for the evening.  Every other weekend we have either her or one of her brothers over for a sleep over.  We rotate the kids so everyone gets an even turn.  We have a set routine of things we “always do” and one of those things is a drive to Caledonia, Mississippi.

About two years ago an article ran in our paper about an ice cream shop in Caledonia called Mi-Mi’s.  They make their own ice cream there on site.  It is wonderful stuff!  Plus they remember you and your order.  Very nice people.

We decided that it would be fun to take our niece/nephews there on their evenings with us.  So, every time they come to our house, it is off to Caledonia for ice cream and then to the restaurant of their choice for dinner.  We have taught them the saying, “Life is short.  Eat dessert first!”.

Which brings us back to the present.  Today is our niece’s turn at our house and we just got back from Caledonia and a fast food place.  The ice cream was great~
