Those Naughty Donkeys!

This is Aiden’s post for today.

Aiden, buddy! Happy Wednesday! Sure hope your appointments at Mott are going well. I’ve been praying about them all morning.

We had an adventure on our run this morning! While we were running our 16 miles, I was trying to decide what to tell you about our run. I stopped and took a picture of the pretty blue sky. I also stopped and took a pic of some bright yellow wild daffodils. Daffodils are such happy flowers, don’t you think?

All of that stuff flew out the window when this happened:

We decided to run down a road we usually don’t run. This is MFH’s favorite road on which to run but we don’t run on it much. We had a nice run down to the very end of the road and turned around to come back.

About halfway back, guess who we saw? Those naughty donkeys! You remember them, right? These are the same donkey’s who think it’s great fun to hide in the trees and then sneak out and Hee-Haw at us and scare us to smithereens!

Today, they were not in their field. They were loose on the road! They were not very happy to meet us either. Uh-oh.

MFH and I are friends with the people who own the donkeys so I called MFH on my cell phone (after I took a pic of the donkeys.‪ #‎priorities‬) and asked him to call the nice man who owns the donkeys.

I tried to finish our run on the road but the donkeys didn’t like that idea. The put their ears back and made unhappy noises. We were in a pickle!

There is a man who lives a little further down this road. He owns a rigging company a little ways away and he was driving down the road in his great big truck. He drove in front of the donkeys and started driving backwards. He was shooing the donkeys towards me. Thanks? Hahaha!!!

It was my job to try to find the break in the fence. Couldn’t find the break. What we were able to do is get the donkey’s to the owner’s driveway. Wouldn’t you know…those donkey’s trotted right up the driveway straight to the front door! Looked like they had done this before!

Anyway, after that we finished our run and now I am telling you this story.

Have a fabulous Wednesday, sweet boy!!! I’m sending you lots of love, hugs and kisses from sunny Mississippi.

Love, Mel
