I’m in the process of finding a fall marathon.  It goes without saying I’ll be trying for the New York City Marathon…again.  If I don’t get in NYC…again, I have a few races I’m considering.

That’s it for pending races now through June of next year.  Now, let’s talk training.

Even though I have three races before that 50 Mile Ultra in March, I begin training for that 50M on November 15.  The Half Marathon on Thanksgiving is a “just for fun” race.  The Mississippi Blues Marathon, well, I’m a Race Ambassador for that race (I’m honored to have been selected!  Lots of people applied.) but I am approaching that race as a training run for the 50M.  Isn’t it crazy that I’ll be running marathon distance (and much further!) training runs!?!  Hahaha!!!  That’s awesome!!!

So, come November 15, I’ll be lacing up my running shoes and kicking off this new training program with a 22 miler.  That’s. Just. Wild.  I’ve never heard of a training program starting off like that!

I have a great coach who firmly believes I can start off a program with that kind of mileage AND also believes I can pull off that 50M race!

The MS50 Trail Run is the best Ultra Marathon in the state of Mississippi.  This year will be their 20th Anniversary.  It’s going to be awesome and I can’t wait to be a part of it!  They give you 12 hours to complete the 50 Miles and then the race closes down.  That’s how long they have the permit to allow runners on the trails.  I’m going to have to hustle my fanny to cover those miles.

I am Determined!

I am Excited!

I am Supported by MFH (My Favorite Husband) and that, my friends means the world!

Happy running to you all!  Set goals and go after them!!!
