I Am So Embarrassed!

Actually, I am mortified!!!

This wasn’t something I had never done before but this was the first time I was caught.  Thinking back and remembering it, I am feeling my face flush with embarrassment all over again.

This morning, I only had to run four miles.  Not a problem!  This was my next to last training run for Saturday’s marathon.  The weather was chilly and windy.  Perfect!

I headed out the door.

I decided to head right away towards the RV park.  Usually, I stick around my street for the first mile.  My insides get jiggled sometimes and I need to head back to the house for a potty break.

I should have known better.

About 1.5 miles from the house, my innards said, “I really think it would be in your best interest to find a tree.”

Boo.

The area in which I was running did not have much in the way of “cover,” privacy, if you will, for such type of activities.

Boo, again.

Mentally, I gauged the distance with the fastest I was able to run. I wanted to determine if I could make it back to the house.  Nope.  Too far.  Rats.

Okay, let’s see what is available for trees….

Well, further down the road there is some privacy but unfortunately, there were three men working on building a new barn there.  That was out.  My best bet was this one tree.

Sooo….

I thought all was well.

I thought wrong.

Next thing I knew, the county guys drove past me.

Oh No!!!  These are the guys who are always checking on me while I am out on my long runs!

They, of course, saw me.  They tooted their horn as they drove by, just like they always do.

Busted.

I think I’ll go crawl under a rock now.
