Loki: #1 Daughter Withdrawal

#1 Daughter left to go back home to Colorado early this morning.  It was a sad time at our house…but, it was time to move on.  She is intelligent.  She is pretty. She is a very special person who will forever hold a place in my heart that cannot be substituted by anyone/anything else.  She is my firstborn.

Remember yesterday how I told you that Loki, the bunny, has free run of our back room, the solarium?  Well, during #1 Daughter’s visit, she had that back room to herself, too.  It is kind of a private room.  Loki graciously shared his room with her during her two week visit.

After she left this morning, I fed Loki and let him out of his box for the day.  He was a happy bunny!  He was kicking his heels up and playing.  It was a good day to be a rabbit.

About an hour ago, Loki started being naughty.  He started doing something he has never done before.

We have a baby gate blocking the entrance to the solarium.  There are no doors to this room and the baby gate has been working just fine for a very, very long time.  This morning, after Loki figured out that #1 Daughter was no longer here, decided to go looking for her.

Loki cleared that baby gate with ease!  Not just once, but many times.  Naughty bunny!

I think he has #1 Daughter withdrawal.  He misses her and he wants to bring her back,  Me, too Loki.  Me, too.

So, the majority of this past hour has been spent chasing that rabbit around the house and putting him back into the solarium.  Last time, he didn’t even wait until my back was turned before he hopped back over that baby gate. Hmmm…

Now, Loki is cooling his fluffy bunny tail inside his box with the door shut.  Loki is in time out.  I’m going to have to figure out something new.  As Winnie the Pooh would say, “Oh, bother.”
