Today has been a day.
Every Monday morning, I call my MIL. We talk and talk and talk. This is a good thing! We genuinely like each other and look forward to the Monday morning conversations. This mornings talk lasted 1 1/2 hours. A bit longer than usual. That meant I was running behind for the day from the get go.
I quickly headed out the door for my morning run. It was already 85 F. with 88% humidity. I know it will be hotter than that on race day so I headed on out the door with 20 oz of Gatorade and some salt. 6 miles later, I was out of Gatorade. I had no water stops and there was no way I could run another 2 miles without anything to drink. I was already running behind schedule for the day so I called MFH to come get me. I chalked up the days run to 6.20 miles out of the planned 8. A couple of miles are not going to make a huge difference on my weekly tally.
I came into the house and asked #1 son to mix up the marinade for the chicken. We were having kababs for lunch. That is probably his favorite meal so he did that for me, no questions asked.
While the kebabs were marinading, I made salsa and the seasoned black beans. Tasty combo! Made the kebabs. Grilled. Ate. Cleaned up the kitchen. Showered. Finally!!!
In the meantime, I had done 4 loads of laundry up to that point. (I multitask when I am on the phone 🙂 ). Now it was time for the real housework. But, RATS! I forgot I had to go to the pharmacy.
Made a trip into town.
Came home. Gave the chickens ice water and collected eggs. Swept floors. Mopped. Talked MFH into cleaning out the rabbit cage. Dusted. Did another 2 loads of laundry.
Time for dinner! Oh No! I forgot to get anything out of the freezer for dinner! Off to the gas station for cheeseburgers. They made THE BEST cheeseburgers!
Ate dinner with MFH. Bedtime for Birdies (put the chickens to bed). Changed into bee suit. Pulled honey. Checked all the hives. They look good!
One more load of laundry.
MFH is now waiting on me so we can process the honey. Gotta Fly!
