Yesterday was my long run for the week. I kind of cheated on that.
My long runs are supposed to be on Wednesdays but I switched it to Thursday this week because of the weather forecast. Wednesday was supposed to be very, very humid with a lot of rain. Seeing as I had to go a long, long way, I did not want to run that far in those conditions.
Call me a sissy.
Yesterday was cool and breezy. Perfect! I took off around 8:30 am and 4 1/2 hours later, I pulled up into the CVS Pharmacy parking lot and there was MFH (My Favorite Husband) just coming out of the Pharmacy with a bag of popcorn, just in case I wanted something to eat. Perfect timing!
I did not want something to eat.
My insides kind of shut down when I run. Eating is a very bad idea. It takes me about 5 hours after a long run before I can eat anything without getting sick.
Back to the run.
Because of the low temps (high 60’s) and low humidity, the run was awesome! It truly was an easy effort! Enjoyed every. single. minute of that run. That is a good thing seeing as I get to do it again next week plus an extra mile! HA!
