This morning was running group.  This meant getting up around 3:00(ish) and getting a few things accomplished, then showered, fed and out the door for the 30 minute drive to where the running group meets.

Running group is always a nice reprieve from running by myself.  MFH (My Favorite Husband) and I generally run together on Saturday mornings and are quickly left in the dust.  That is okay.  We have some elite runners in our group and it is fun to see them zoom off.  I think to myself, “Someday, I’ll be able to keep with them for a mile or so.”  But that is, alas, just a dream   🙂

We ran this morning with another person as far as the first water stop.  He was going to run the entire route and we were going to turn back and go to the house.  The water stops are generally 3.50-4.00 miles apart.  Anyway, this person is a person we have been wanting to talk to for the better part of a week.

This person, who will remain nameless, is a Mathematician/Rabbi. Super, duper nice guy!  We have been wanting to talk to him about being on the board of our Non-profit:  Classic Book Radio Corporation (http://www.wmfhlp.org/).  He listened and was excited about what we are doing with our little project!  He agreed, too!  How about that!?!  Bells and Whistles!

So where things stand on our Non-Profit.  Right now, MFH and myself are the original board members for the Non-Profit.  We have added a banker and the Mathematician/Rabbi.  We are waiting word on another person(s).  After that, I believe our board will be complete.

Why are we doing this!?!  I thought you would never ask.  We are applying for 501(c)3 status with the IRS.  All donations will be tax deductible that way!  Cool beans for people who are feeling generous.  This means some changes to our by-laws and Non-Profit structure.  The IRS frowns upon a husband and wife being the sole board members.  They are afraid that the couple will raise some funds and run off to a tropical island with the proceeds or something.

We are more than happy to comply and are dotting our i’s and crossing our t’s to make sure that all is above board.  It is a ticklish business.  Just think, all we wanted to do was start a Low Power FM radio station and stream its content (audio books) world wide.  And here we are!  A lot has happened since September!!!

So, yes.  We had an awesome run this morning!  It was a beautiful day for a run.  We gained a board member.  We logged some miles.  Talked with some awesome people at the running group.  Came home and took a nap.  All in all, a great Saturday!!!
