How many of you have a  Twitter account?

How many of you USE your Twitter account?

I have had a Twitter account for about 2-2 1/2 years. MelindaHoward4. I can count the number of tweets I have made on one hand.  I made them having absolutely no idea of what I was doing.  I still do not know, now, what I did.

I do not “get” Twitter.

My blood pressure begins to rise at the mere mention of posting a tweet.  Why?  It is pointless! How do you know if anybody even read it!?!  It is dumb.  It is boring.  I do not understand the appeal.

Today, MFH (My Favorite Husband) created a Twitter account for our Radio Station, WMFH-LP.  You can reach us at Twitter  ~~  @mfhlp.  As you all know, we are in the fundraising stage of our station and time is of the essence.  MFH thought that we could get the word out to more people with Twitter.

I do not disagree with him.  I am sure the more exposure, the better.

Seeing that I am kinda the person who maintains most of the social media for the station, however, I have had a day of it.  ARGH@#!%#

Facebook and the Twitter account absolutely refuse to link together.  I have tried everything. It should not be this difficult!

So, here I am, in the comfort of my own blog, venting.  There is a comfort here.  I know how this media works.  It is simple.  I am not limited to hashtags to get peoples attention.  I am not limited to a certain number of characters.  I can talk away to my little hearts delight!  AND know if somebody actually read it or not (to a certain extent)!

Twitter is for the birds.  HA!

I will not admit defeat, though.  Come hell or high water, I AM going to figure this out.  I WILL make it work.  So….There.
