Yesterday’s Run: 24 miles. Today’s run: 10 miles
My children have been giggling like little kids for the better part of a week.
It all started when my son brought over a rather large box wrapped in red paper. As soon as he set it down, the dog began showing a great deal of interest in said box. Sniff…sniff…sniff…sniff…He would not stop sniffing that package!
My son was outright laughing but was very serious when he said to put up the package because there was something in there that the dog would probably like. So, I put it up.
The next day over the phone, I mentioned this to my daughter. She began to giggle too! Two adult children giggling is disconcerting. If those two were not giggling, they were purring. They were very pleased with themselves.
I was dying to know what was in that big box!
Finally, the time came. My son was able to be there when I opened it (my daughter lives in a different state). He was looking very pleased with himself. I saved the big box for last.
It was a Brew Kit! I am going to learn to be a Brew-master!!! How awesome is that!?!
See, I love a nice beer to wrap up the end of a day. Perfect ending to an perfect day. The kids know this and decided that I would enjoy my beer even more if I had the satisfaction of knowing that I had made it myself. They were right!
Tomorrow, I will begin my very first batch of beer. I am so excited!!! I’ll let you know how it turns out…in a month. That is how long it takes to go from start to finish.
Patience is a virtue, right?
