I need new running shoes.  I know I have been needing them for a while but have been hesitant to buy them…running shoes are expensive!

Usually I order all my running shoes/accessories from roadrunnersports.com.  They have been good to me when I have needed to make returns, etc.  I enjoy(?) doing business with them.

At the end of last week I called road runner sports and placed an order for my shoes.  They were discontinued!?!  Oh NO!!!  BUT, they had the bigger and better version of my shoe.  Would I be interested in trying those.  “Sure.”  I replied.  “Why not.”

I had been waiting and my shoes did not arrive.  That’s strange!  Usually my order is here in three days.  What is up with that!?!  I checked my email and the shoes will not be shipped until November 29.  Oh, boy…that is way too long to wait!  My feet and knees were already very unhappy.  This would not do.

I got on the phone and called around the state to the different shoe stores.  People had the shoe but not in my size.  I am a 6 1/2 wide.  Hmmm…I finally called a great little shoe store called Trails and Treads in Tupelo, Mississippi.

“No”.  They did not carry the wide width.  Why do not people stock wide widths?  Not everybody has skinny feet!  But wait!

“Oh!  We have one pair, 6 1/2 wide, Brooks Adrenaline GTS 13 on the clearance table.  50% off.”  I was thrilled!

“Will you hold them for me?  I live an hour away.”

“Sure!” was their reply.

After a quick trip to Starkville, Mississippi, to pick up my mom (I like company when I drive) we hurried up north to Tupelo, Mississippi where I purchased the running shoes!  I wore them this morning!  My feet and knees were very happy!
