The Main Event

Today’s Run:  Rest Day

We (my husband and I) were the main event today.

Our church has a Seniors luncheon every month and we were the speakers for this months meeting.  They wanted to learn about the two of us.  How we met.  When we were married.  How many kids we have and how old they are. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Boring.

I do not find my life all that interesting.  We do have a few funny stories to tell but not all that riveting to listen to for 30 minutes or so.

The people seemed to love it!  Go figure.

They had us stay for lunch.  They were gracious.  They were funny.  We enjoyed ourselves immensely!

On the running front and totally off the topic of the luncheon…

Tomorrow we hit the road again after having today as a rest day.

Last week was pretty tough.  Every run felt like my legs were concrete blocks.  I could barely run.  I was not particularly sore or anything, my body just did not want to move.  Saturdays long run went great and so did Monday’s run!  I am hoping that that lack of inertia has passed.  Running 26.2 miles on wooden legs would not be much fun!

11 more days until the race!!!
