Today’s Run: 5.20 miles
We ran Schaeffer’s Chapel route again today. As you know from my millions of posts about this route, it is my favorite route to run. (This is the route with the plank bridge we talked about last time.) Today was extra special because the wild flowers are in bloom.
When we run this route, we have to cross Highway 45 South. This is a busy Highway and crossing it must be done with speedy feet and not a little trepidation. But, just as on other days, we crossed safely and were met by the prettiest sight you could ever want to see.
Last Fall, they planted Red Clover up close to the road bed. It cuts an abrupt path through the yellow wildflowers so it is a stripe of red and yellow all long Schaeffer’s Chapel Road. It is so pretty!!!
We saw lots of butterflies enjoying the clover~ as well, dare I be presumptuous enough to say, some of my honey bees enjoying the clover and wild flowers as well.
It was a picture perfect morning today. Perfect weather. Perfect scenery. Just Perfect. Lovely, lovely morning.
