Today’s Run: 11.00 miles
My phone was having serious issues and the expiration date for my contract was not up until November 29. This was a problem.
(I am going to be specific and talk carrier names here, so hold on to your hats.)
We had been with AT&T for, oh goodness, close to 20 years? A long time, anyway. We had started with them when we lived in Colorado because my husband’s place of employment had a discount through AT&T. Unfortunately, all these years, we have a lousy service and lousy coverage and I have been getting more and more disgruntled with AT&T.
Enter our move to Mississippi.
At our present residence in Mississippi, we have NO cell coverage at the house with AT&T~UNLESS~I stand on the far corner of the front porch and sometimes, if I am lucky, I can send a text. And for that they wanted $170.00 per month. Talk and text ONLY! Nope. That is just wrong. Now…
My husband has a cell phone provided by his employer (the same employer that got us started with AT&T) through Verizon and has excellent service and coverage! This seemed to be a no brainer to me. So, yesterday, I packed up my AT&T cell phone (This is with my husband and I having talked it over first. I would never do anything like this without talking it through with him and us agreeing on it.) and toddled on over to my local Verizon store and bought me a new Smart Phone (I have caught up with technology!) and have a plan with unlimited data, unlimited text, unlimited talk…for only $10.00 a month more than what AT&T was charging me for basically no service. I think that is called a win-win!
I am a happy camper!
