Today’s run:  Rest Day

My chicken is still sick.  I am pleased by this news because I figured she would be deceased by now.  Now, I think the problem may be good ol’ fashioned constipation.

We found a golf ball size of matted birdie poo by her bum today.  Ick.  We soaked her once in the tub once and twice in a bucket of warm water to loosen the stuff and get rid of it.  Then we rubbed canola oil on her vent to encourage the voiding process.

Next, we Goggled the topic at hand and found out that birdie Ex-Lax is 1T molasses to 1Qt water.  We administer it in a syringe (sans needle). She does not like it.  She has not liked any of this so far.  Go figure.

Because she has had a bath three times today, I have been carrying her around wrapped in an old bath towel (this she does like!).  It would not do for her to catch the sniffles now, would it?
