Today’s Run: Rest Day
We watched a documentary this evening about this horse whisperer guy named Buck. We watched it on the recommendation of my Brother-in-Law. It was a great documentary! If you have Netflix account, I highly recommend it.
If you have been reading my husband’s blog, you know that we have had a Houdini horse in our yard a couple of days this past week. I call him Houdini because he keeps on escaping from his pasture down the street from us. He really is a sweet horse. And also a very old horse. He is thirty two? thirty four? Somewhere in the lowish thirty’s.
This horse looks awful! He is skin and bones. His hoofs look like someone who chews their nails. I think he is a bit neglected, but he is sweet.
The last time he was out, he let me walk right up to him, talk to him, pet him and lead him a little bit. He rested his head on my chest for a while and kinda cuddled. He really is a sweet horse. I feel bad for him. He just wanted to go home. Poor horse.
So, now we have the phone number of the guy who owns Houdini (my name for the horse, not his real name, mind you) and can call the owner the next time he (the horse) escapes.
