I got a new lampshade today!  This is exciting news.  This is a lamp that my husband and I purchased when we were first married almost 28 years ago.  It is an old lamp.  And it had the original shade on it.  Yawn.  It was old.  It was dusty.  It was ugly (it was not ugly 28 years ago).

This new lampshade is cool.

It is burgundy with gold stitching.  It has gold braid around the top and beads around the bottom.  It is completely lined and it is awesome.

I know you are jealous.  You should be!

So, with my new lampshade, I feel like I have a brand new lamp.  It is the small things in life!
