[Yesterday’s run: 3.2 miles]
Fall seems to have arrived. Our dry spell continues, but the temperatures have stayed moderate over the past two or three weeks. Today I noticed that the trees are starting to change color.
I received my raid card in the mail for the Dell T420 and now I am configuring the 8 drives. The OS will be on a pair of mirrored drives. The WAV file library will be on a raid-5 array of 5 drives with a spare.
Next up is installing Ubuntu and Rivendell software. Then I will copy over the current database and library.
I have ordered another M-Audio Delta 1010 off of ebay. That’s what we have been using for the computer audio interface. I’ll stop at that spot and get everything configured. Then I may wait a week or two to see if the heat and energy load of the new server is not too much higher.
After that I will need to schedule a week day that I can take off from work and do the swap from the old server to the new server.
I made a little progress on a house project: I got the damaged boat up out of the grass and on some saw horses. I don’t know if I will patch it up soon. But it is in a better spot for now.
