[Today’s run: 4.6 mile with runners in Columbus]

This morning’s run was with the group in Columbus. I’ve been doing most of my weekend group runs over in Starkville, so I’m still learning the names and faces in Columbus. Today we started from the MUW president’s house and went in a big circle through town. I enjoyed the opportunity to talk to the president during our run, a little bit. Then we were back at the house and there was a big spread of goodies including breakfast burritos, bacon, biscuits, cookies, donuts, pineapple chunks, grapes, apple slices, sausage balls, water, orange juice, coffee… I think that is most of it but I’m probably leaving something out.

Later I went to the grocery store and bought a new pie pan. The pumpkin pie recipe that I had was enough to make two pies. But I could only find one pie plate. Also I needed condensed milk.

I came home and made the pies. We haven’t cut into them, but they look and smell good. I tried to add a bit more spices to it than what the recipe called for. We shall see how that turns out.

This evening we watched the rest of “The Theory of Everything” a biographical movie about Stephen Hawking.
