On a different scale

[Wednesday – 3 miles of hills; today’s run 5 miles in Columbus]

I had a quick trip on Friday morning to Birmingham, AL.  That is about 2 hours east of here.  I took 82, mostly 4-lane, to Tuscaloosa, then Interstate 20 to into Birmingham.

I was picking up a doctor’s-office-type scale which I bought from UAB surplus online.  I brought it home and it’s in the bathroom now, replacing our old, thin, flat, floor scale which was starting to get really flaky.  The tall scale is kind of beat up, but it appears to work OK.  I was 172 after my run this morning.

This evening we went to a local restaurant, Proffit’s Porch.  We both had red beans and rice.  It was a group dinner for the local Possum Town Runner’s group.  It was fun.
