I’m back to working a little bit on a notification device for the radio station. I have another BeagleBone Black single board computer and I am ordering some sensor devices to attache to it.
I would like to monitor things in the radio transmitter shed and send me emails if something is out of whack.
- Internal ambient temperature
- Temperature of air exhausting from the transmitter
- Signal level (off the air)
- Audio level (dead air)
- Forward and reverse transmitter power
- others?
I’ve worked on the email notification part and I have that configured.
I will need a serial port to get the forward and reverse power from the serial port of the transmitter.
I will need at least two temperature probes
I will need an FM radio chip device to get my signal level and signal audio level
