[Yesterday’s run: 10 miles is what they told me]
I worked a bit more on the short truck yesterday. I put in 2 quarts of engine oil to get it back to the proper fill level. And I’ve put in 2 quarts of transmission fluid.
I was able to niggle the shift lever into a spot where it went into reverse. So that makes me think I have shift linkage problems and maybe not a broken transmission. That would be a good thing!
Yesterday we packed the dog into the car and drove to Jackson, MS to take the wife shoe shopping. That made for a long day but we did find success.
Today we went to church, then we drove up to Aberdeen, MS on a Sunday drive.
p.s. In my working on this truck, I recently put on my car-repair coveralls and discovered the missing keys for the “long” old truck.
