This evening I have been working some more on the weather station project. Someone asked me the other day if they could see my weather data and I told them no because the local pages are served up on my local network and I don’t have a static/assigned IP address.
BUT!
I then remembered that the wview software is configurable to upload the weather station files to an FTP site.
And, I happen to have a domain name. And, I had some ftp users that I could set up and had never done so. I set up an FTP for the weather station and I configured wview, and it all magically works.
Now I have a new URL which shows the current weather at my house. It gets updated every 5 minutes.
