After our long weekend with the grandkids, we traveled home on Tuesday. That included a stop at a Firestone tire dealership for a replacement tire for the one which was punctured by road debris as we entered the Memphis airport. It was a long day but we arrived home around 10 pm.
Wednesday through Friday I worked as normal.
After 3 weeks of hospitalization, my mother-in-law passed away early Sunday morning. Her husband and daughters were there after a long vigil all Saturday and through the night. There will be a memorial service this coming Thursday.
I took part in some of the hospital visiting on Saturday and early Sunday.
Later on Sunday I was able to attend the morning service at church. And in the afternoon we eventually made it to the grocery store for the first time in a couple of weeks.
Today was Veterans Day and I had the option to work a regular day so I did. I need to accumulate some time off to use during the factory shutdown between Christmas and New Year. For some of that time we will be back in Colorado.
I can’t really think of anything very exciting going on otherwise. I’ve been doing a bit more on YouTube which you can look up if you like.
I did get the old hamfest camera working. It could use a bit of packaging for the circuit board I put together. But it is all there and operating. There is supposed to be a plug-in to control the zoom and exposure controls with the OBS video editing software. But I have not yet sorted that out.
Also today I took the car in for oil change, worked from the car place for about an hour at the beginning of the day.
