Today’s Run: Rest Day
This afternoon, after church services, my son and I embarked on a journey to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Home of the Crimson Tide. A foreign country seeing as we reside in Mississippi Bulldog territory.
This was an expedition to purchase a pair of running shoes for my son. He is getting back into running after little time off and was in need of a fresh pair. There is a store in Tuscaloosa with a pad that you walk over that measures the pressure points of your stride and can tell what type of shoe is appropriate for your feet. So, that is where we went.
Tuscaloosa is only an hour drive from our house. You pop onto Hwy 82 and go East until you hit the shopping center. Turn right and Ta-Dah! There you are! It is a nice drive.
The closer we got to Tuscaloosa however, the more we saw Crimson Tide signs, license plates, banners…We are used to HAIL STATE billboards and license plates! I told you, it was a foreign country! And next weekend, the Bulldogs have an away game to this same town when the #11 Mississippi State Bulldogs and #1 Alabama Crimson Tide have a showdown! Go Bulldogs!!!
