Today’s Run: Rest day~run again tomorrow!
My husband and I worked on the pergola off and on today. Since he was technically at work, he did have to put some time in at his office. We did the last of the board cutting and began putting up the lattice roof.
I was not real thrilled about having a lattice roof on this thing. It has been my intention, all along, to plant Wisteria this Fall and have it climb and canopy the pergola (fyi: Wisteria grows an average of 10 ft per year). My husband talked me into the lattice with the intention on picking it out as the Wisteria grows and makes a natural shade. Okay. I suppose. As long as the lattice is NOT permanent.
As we worked, we noticed that it actually got cooler. It did not seem quite so hot! Now why would that be? We finally figured it out~the pergola was actually producing shade! Go figure! Just what we wanted and it was working. Cool Beans.
On a side note, we got into our hives yesterday before church and put the honey into jars this evening: 10 1/2 jars. That will be enough to give each of the neighbors a jar for Christmas.
