Today’s Run:  5 miles

The Iowa State Fair is one of the best State Fairs in the nation.  There are about a zillion things to see and do and there is no way you can do it all in one day.

On a recent trip to the Fair, I had a Deep Fat Fried Snickers Bar!  Wow!!!  They batter dip it, fry it in oil and then sprinkle a bunch of powdered sugar on top.  Wow!!!  Sugar rush and major yumminess!  My husband and I ordered just one and split it.  It is just not humanly possible to eat an entire one by oneself.  But what an experience!

We also went and visited all the livestock shows and watched a lady wash and blow dry a chicken (very strange).

The butter cow is still there.  Did you know that they re-use the butter for making the butter cow every year and that the butter they are presently using has been reused for nine years?  Apparently, it does not smell nice anymore.

We visited the honey display and talked to some local bee keepers.
