I am in a bit of a shock.  I had heard the rumors, of course, but really did not want to believe them.  It was unreal really!  I had trusted and respected him.

I am a member of one particular running group.  This group is located on the Gulf Coast.  Lots of very nice runners there.

I have never met these people in person, mind you, but because we talk everyday online, you feel like you know them and can trust them.

One of these individuals was a manager of a highly reputable shop also located on the Gulf Coast.  This manager gave me some pretty good discounts on shoes and running gear.  Super nice guy!

We would chat about this and that.  Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.  Running people are pretty cool that way.

A rumor started circulating that this person had been arrested.  For theft!

To be honest, this took me totally by surprise!  It did a lot of other runner, too!!!  Runners are a loyal group.  You don’t dis runners, though.  Not. Cool.

Well, today, I found the arrest report.  Somebody posted it to FB.  I was deeply saddened by this.  You can read it for yourself if you are so inclined.  I guess I need to be more careful of who I trust.  Time to grow up a bit and take off the rose colored glasses.  *sigh
