Today’s Run:  45 min lifting at the “Y”

Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning will find my husband and myself having the same conversation, “Where should we run to today?”.  We like to put in between four to five mile runs during the week and on Saturday mornings run with a group of people in Starkville, MS.  That is our “long run” and averages 9-12 miles.

We have a few favorite destinations, Watson Road, “The ‘T’ Intersection”, and Schaeffer’s Chapel.  Of the three, my husband likes Watson Road the best as it is a pretty route with trees acting as a canopy over the road.  My only problem with Watson Road is that I have a minor foot injury and the gravel on that trip bothers it.

The “T” intersection is for hill workouts and there is nothing wrong with that route, if you like running hills!

My favorite is Schaeffer’s Chapel.  There is just a little bit of gravel and it is out in the middle of no-where where you only have the cattle as a cheering section.  There is also a plank bridge where at the very end of the road is a cute little chapel!  Shaeffer’s Chapel!  It is my favorite and I always enjoy running it.
