Second Time’s The Charm?

I know the saying is “Third time’s the charm,” but I am really hoping for second times the charm.

Tomorrow I am going to attempt to run the Old Highway.  I am going to try to run the Old Highway without falling down.

MFH (My Favorite Husband) and I drove the New Highway this morning on our way home from church.  The New Highway runs parallel to the Old Highway.  I was able to check out the condition of the Old Highway as we drove past it.

The road bed looks the same as the time I ran it last week.  The time I fell down.  They have not done any work on the surface of the old road.  That was not my concern.  My concern was the bridges.

I had noticed that they had large road equipment by the bridges.  I was afraid that they had ripped up the floor of the bridge bed.  As we drove by, I found that the bridge decking was still intact.  The only part missing was the guard rails.

So….

If I leave at early o’clock tomorrow morning and get my miles in, I should be able to get back and forth across those bridges before they rip up the decking.  That will keep me on my toes!

Happy Running!!!
