Active.com
Not a fan.
How many of you have registered for events with this organization? How many of you have registered for events with this organization and have had them mess it up?
Me.
More than once.
Boo.
On February 7, 2014, I called Active.com on the phone. I spoke with Theresa. AT 1:30 pm CST.
I needed to transfer my race registration for the MS50 Trail Run to a certain individual who will remain nameless.
Theresa walked me through the process. Step by step we did this together. She was kind of, “Out to lunch” is a nice way to put it, but I followed the instructions she gave me while she was giving them to me. We concluded the conversation with the usual pleasantries, “Have a nice day.” “Thank you for your help.”
Yesterday, I found out I was Still Registered for the race and so was the un-named individual and I was not being refunded my registration fee because Active.com (Read: Theresa) messed up. Again.
I have spent this entire morning, on hold, with Active.com. This time with Shanice. She seems a bit more coherent. She has been getting quite the run around from the support people. We concluded a 2+hour conversation with, “Can I please have your phone number. This may take a while. Once I can get someone to give me a straight answer, I will call you back.”
Uh-huh.
So, what do you think? Did she just ditch me?
I give her 24 hours to call me back. Maybe not that long. I have to get this thing resolved. Fast. I will be out $95.00 if I do not jump on this. I has been a frustrating morning.
<BUT>
With MFH on his trip, it has also given me something to do! There is always a silver lining, right!?!
