No~not dynamite.
T-shirts and Turkey!
We (MFH and I) are waiting for final approval of our FM radio station call sign. WMFH. Has a nice ring to it, does not it!?
The t-shirts have to do with the radio station. We have 18 months in which to raise the necessary funds for equipment and get on the air. The funds needed will be between $10,000.00 and $15,000.00. A healthy chuck of change.
There is a thing called Quick Starter. Some of you may have heard of it. It is an organization that helps you with fund raising. You provide “Thank You gifts” to people/organizations that contribute to your project. We are planning on utilizing Quick Starter for funding.
Today, I made calls on how to get designs, logos, trademarks, copyrights, etc. for our station and non-profit~Classic Book Radio Corporation. I talked to a really nice guy in Tupelo, Mississippi. I have a race shirt from a half marathon I ran that he designed and printed. He does good work. I would like to have him do our shirts.
So, that is the T-shirts. Next Turkey.
Right after Thanksgiving, the grocery store had Turkey’s on sale for .78 cents a pound. That is a pretty good deal. I bought one. A 15 pound turkey. I had plans to fix it for Easter. I know you are supposed to have Ham on Easter but seeing as I do NOT like Ham, I thought that a Turkey would be a nice thing instead.
Well, MFH (My Favorite Husband) bagged a deer last week. YAY!!! That took up all my freezer space. This is not a complaint! It is just a fact. That Turkey had to go!
I started thawing the Turkey on Thursday in the refrigerator. It was not thawing. I needed my refrigerator back, too! I put it out yesterday. It finally thawed and I am fixing it today. All 15 pounds of it.
My parents are coming over for dinner today. I sure hope they are hungry! I sure hope they plan on taking some Turkey home with them!
Tonight’s menu: Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Giblet Gravy. That is all. Not too fancy. There will be plenty to go around. The house is beginning to smell mighty fine. Yum!!! 🙂
