Week 13 Marathon Training~~~41 days until the race!

Today’s Run:  Rest Day

I know that my marathon training schedule says “Rest Day” on it.  I know that is what it says but in my mind that means I should not be too tired to catch up on housework, etc.

SO….today I went to church, baked some fresh bread for the week and swept and mopped the floors.  The rest of the housework will have to wait for tomorrow.

Seeing as today is an official “Rest Day”, I do not feel too terribly guilty about doing some lazy work on my computer.  My husband is spending his “Rest Day” watching Law and Order reruns on Netflix.  We are so lazy today it is unbelievable.

We have a very good reason for being lazy today…this week is our first 20 mile run.  Yikes!  We only have one 20 miler a then a lighter long run weekend and then a 23 miler and then two lighter long run weekends and then race day is here!

The race is getting so close!  I don’t know how I feel about that.  Part of me wants it to hurry and the rest of me says, “I’m not ready yet!!!” in a panicky kind of breath.

Will I really be able to run the 26.2 miles???

I guess we will find out in 41 more days!
