Today’s Run:  5.13 miles

Today’s post is a miscellaneous post.  It has been a strange but busy day~full of a wide variety of things…and it is not done yet.

You all know that Paxton has not been feeling well.  Poor puppy.  We had everyone over yesterday and he tried his best to be in tip-top shape but was unable to pull the wool over our eyes.  To the vet today for Paxton.

He did eat that bird and now he is paying.  He was due for shots at the same time.  Lucky Paxton.  So, he ended up with four shots, one blood exam, one fecal exam and one kennel cough immunization.  And he peed all over the floor…a lot…and more than once…they mopped twice and after that, they just put a very large towel on the floor.  Uncle.

He is on medication for ten days and some fancy dog food until it is gone.  Hopefully, that will do the trick.

Today’s run was amazing!  Part of it was against the wind.  That was not much fun BUT, on the way back I was able to enjoy it a bit more and notice that the side of the road was a blanket of Buttercups and that the Wisteria is beginning to bloom!  Beautiful.  I love Spring!

The bees…We did not get to the bees today.  Rats.  But tomorrow, first thing on the docket is the bees.  We HAVE to get the Queen containers out of there!  You are only supposed to leave them in three days and then remove them.  Today was day three.  So, again, first thing tomorrow morning…

Our niece spent the night.  She slept until 1:30 this afternoon.  I guess she was sleepy.  I think she was up late with her I-pod.  That is what I think.  Either way, she did miss collecting the eggs this morning.  She had expressed interest in doing that with me but the chickens were getting hungry.  So, “I’ll do it myself,” said the Little Red Hen.  And so I did.

That was my day, along with the usual housework, etc.  Trust you all had a marvelous April Fools Day.  This day, the one I just reported was no April Fools, though.  “Just the facts”.
